Avigilon High Definition Surveillance System Earns Top Rating from JP Freeman Labs

Industry leading security research and consulting firm gives top marks to Avigilon solution for delivering “the highest level of performance in terms of image quality, security, and system performance”

VANCOUVER, BC – March 20, 2007 — Avigilon announced today that its High Definition Surveillance System has received a top rating from JP Freeman Labs. Joe Freeman, an industry leading security researcher and consultant, performed a detailed technical audit of the Avigilon High Definition Surveillance System and has given the Avigilon solution top ratings in terms of excellent image resolution, dynamic range, and the quality of stored, retrieved, and displayed images. The technical audit went on to rate the Avigilon solution a “superior candidate” for specialized security applications requiring precise video quality such as the protection of vital government infrastructure and high security applications in the commercial and institutional fields.

The technical audit concluded that secure networking and lossless image storage technology is utilized such that the Avigilon product complies with emerging international image standards for evidentiary use. Avigilon system components and software assure that maximum video resolution is available from both live preview images as well as stored and playback video data.

Overall, JP Freeman Labs believes that the Avigilon High Definition Surveillance System is a superior candidate for use in very specialized applications where the most precise video quality is required.
