VANCOUVER, CANADA – January 28, 2011 –Avigilon, the performance and value leader in high definition and megapixel video surveillance systems, announced today that it has been named to the 2010 Red Herring 100 Global list, a prestigious list honoring the year's most promising private ventures that are leading innovation around the world. The Red Herring 100 Global Award is the fifth award that Avigilon received in 2010, recognizing the company's impressive growth. In 2010, Avigilon was also named one of the top five fastest growing technology companies in Canada in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50; earned a spot on Red Herring's North America 100 list; was named BCTIA's "Emerging Company of the Year"; and received the BC Export award for "Best New Exporter".

"This year was especially difficult," said Alex Vieux, publisher and CEO of Red Herring.
