Vancouver, October 19, 2011 — Avigilon Corporation today announced that it ranked number four on Technology Fast 500™, Deloitte’s ranking of 500 of the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America. Rankings are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth during the period from 2006–2010. Avigilon grew 38,796 percent during this period.

Avigilon Corporation is also ranked third among the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™, a ranking of the 50 fastest growing technology companies in Canada, based on the percentage of revenue growth over five years.

Avigilon's President and CEO Alexander Fernandes credits Avigilon’s 38,796 percent revenue growth to the company's dedication to providing customers with high quality products and consistent customer service. Fernandes said, “Our video surveillance systems can provide clear surveillance images, which in turn can provide better evidence. That coupled with Avigilon’s dedication to quality, ease-of-use and customer service has led to a blue-chip client list and an industry-leading reputation.”

For 14 years, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ program has tracked the successful growth of Canadian-grown global leaders. Now Canada’s pre-eminent technology award program, the Deloitte Technology Fast 50™ augments the broader Deloitte North American Technology Fast 500 initiative, with winners automatically eligible for this elite ranking.

"Deloitte congratulates Avigilon for this significant achievement.”

“Canadian technology companies have demonstrated some very impressive growth numbers over the past year, amid the challenges of an uncertain global economic recovery,” said Lee. “Avigilon is an example of the determination, drive and skill that will serve to position them for further growth and success in the years to come.”

“We are pleased to honor Avigilon as one of the 2011 Technology Fast 500,” said Mark Jensen, managing partner, technology and venture capital services, Deloitte & Touche LLP. “As one of the fastest growing tech companies in North America, Avigilon has demonstrated technological innovation, entrepreneurship and rapid growth.”
